Hello Everyone!

I know that I have some real work to do as far as making our website more

interesting. To that end, I have hired a young man to help me in my quest. One

of the things he suggested was a weekly blog. In this blog, I am going to attempt to catch everyone up on what has transpired in the last few months and just what goes on at Ridge Runners Market. Last year, 2020 – September – to be exact and in the middle of a pandemic – Tim and I opened Ridge Runners Market. The intent was to provide locally grown produce to the public. We own a 300-acre family farm in Loran, Illinois. There we grew much of what we sold and we also supplemented from other local growers. On that family farm, we also grow hemp and it is from our own hemp plants that our hemp oil products are made. Kemp’s Hemp Oils is the name the CBD and CBG products are sold under. These are also sold at our store in Woodbine, Illinois. This past March, we purchased some land with two large heated greenhouses, 2 large high tunnels, and a smaller high tunnel. Bright Flower Nursery had been using this location previously and with the deal came a host of fancy flowers! We have maintained some of the contacts that Bright Flower formerly had and so we are now in the wholesale flower business as well. Having heated greenhouses, afforded us the ability to grow more of our own produce and also flowers so we decided to grow all of our own hanging baskets too! Needless to say, we are very busy! That is just a little bit of background and I will continue to provide more as the weeks go on. A couple of weeks ago, our third hemp crop went into the ground and so the picture that you now see on our home page is just a taste of what that process looks like. My intent is to educate you as we go. Growing this flower is truly a labor of love. Our mission is to help as many people as we can to get relief from their pain, reduce their anxiety, aid their sleep and also receive the beneficial effects from our skincare line. There are many benefits to this plant – both proven and still being investigated. Making life easier for others is our passion and goal!
